Come and Sea My New Office
This office space has always been a tricky one, mainly because it is on the main floor of our open concept home and incorporating both residential needs and a functional space to work posed challenges over the years to really find the perfect balance. The moment I let go of forcing it to be something it wasn’t, it finally all fell into place. It was important that my office reflected my true style but was also a practical space for all of my essential needs. The large “artist sideboard” was a perfect touch to store all our samples, its old world feel inspired a gallery wall above it compiled of many family heirlooms and collected items over the years. There is original artwork from my grandfather, mother and artist Nick Bierk to name a few and they all fit so seamlessly into this grand focal point. With strong ties to the ocean, this wall quickly had a theme of boats and waterfront without intent really creating a wave of emotions when it was all completed.
I am finally excited to sit in my office everyday and get lost in thought and creative flow with this inspiring and moody space that evolved to perfection.
